Leading white goods manufacturer Bosch produce a range of point of sale material to support retail outlets that stock their laundry and kitchen appliances.
Objective – Storage of material, and fulfilment
- Store Bosch POS material and fulfil requests for the trade
- Deliver collateral to Bosch area managers & retail outlets
- Interface with external websites for automated order processing
- Provide full stock visibility and reporting service
Activity
Marketing collateral is stored in Orbital’s purpose built warehouse and is available for call-off by Bosch area managers (either in individual units or bulk quantities) and is despatched to the area manager or direct to the store. The items are specific to individual appliances in each range and in addition to the generic materials, Bosch also produce branded versions to support special promotions.
For example, in summer 2008 Bosch teamed up with Disney-Pixar and used the eco—friendly robot character WALL:E to help promote the ‘planet saving advance technology’ in the latest range of Bosch appliances. The promotion was supported by a WALL:E microsite and a collection of twenty-five stickers, display stands, hanging banners and wall/ceiling displays to be used in-store with Bosch appliances.
Apart from the WALL:E range, Orbital hold in excess of one hundred other types of POS for Bosch. To assist with the management of this resource, the Bosch team has access to current stock and product images via our ‘CampaignXec’ website. This site also enables users to run reports showing order and despatch activity.
Bosch Area Managers and retail outlets order their materials from a bespoke website or direct with their Orbital account manager. Requests are picked, packed and despatched within 24 hours and a confirmation email is sent to the recipient. Due to the very specific nature of some of the POS items, detailed instructions on how and where they are to be used are included with each consignment. In addition to the despatch of trade point of sale material, Orbital also manage the consumer order processing and fulfilment of Bosch household appliance brochures.
