Orbital Response takes off with TUI
Orbital’s specialist travel sector brand BP Travel Marketing Services was invited to tender for the management of the ordering, picking, packing and mailing of TUI’s consumer travel brochures. The contract was put out to public tender and Orbital was successful in their bid.
Orbital Response, one of the UK’s largest specialist response and fulfilment providers (with offices in Ashford, Kent and Rushden in Northamptonshire) have wide experience in the travel Industry.
TUI is Europe’s largest tour operator, with well known brands like Thomson and First Choice Holidays in the UK. And it is the UK side of the business that BP Travel will now be working with on their brochure fulfilment side. Orbital Response are already receiving both telephone and coupon requests for holiday brochures on behalf of a number of TUI brands, including Thomson, and Simply Holidays, one of TUI’s direct holiday brands. Data is also imported to Orbital’s Microsoft Dynamics AX fulfilment system, via the various TUI websites, plus orders from TUI’s other marketing partners.
Commenting on the transition of the business, Denise Cooper, Customer Communications Manager at TUI stated, “The successful and smooth implementation of our work was a testament to the hard work of the team and I wish to pass on a big thank you to them”.
BP Travel Marketing Services, Orbital’s sister company, is handling the trade distribution of brochures to the Thomson and First Choice high street travel agents. Their experience in the travel industry made Orbital Respobse a good choice for TUI.
