Payment Processing
All payments are received and processed in Orbital’s PCI DSS compliant Response Centre. No credit card details are stored in any of Orbital’s systems.
Credit Card Payments – credit card details arriving by post are fully processed within a further restricted and secure area within the Response Centre. Here card payments are transacted (in real time via secure browser gateway) with funds directly deposited to your merchant account. Written card number details are fully masked (using indelible pen) before being batched and securely stored.
Payments made by credit card over the telephone are transacted within the Response Centre, again in real time via secure browser gateway. Call recording ceases as payment screens are launched, with recording re-starting once pages are closed.
Cheques – received into restricted and secure area within the Response Centre, sorted, batched, keyed and reconciled before being securely collected and deposited straight into your account via the bank clearing system, saving time and money. Full audit trail maintained.
Cash – received, handled (duel control) with monies remaining in the secure environment until banked locally into your account. Full audit trail maintained.
Strong safe – any monies not deposited that day are placed in our safe overnight.
